Hinda Smith completed her 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Certification at Shoshoni Yoga Center in Colorado, the home of Shambhava Yoga, which encompasses hatha yoga, vinyasa, and meditation.
Hinda, a certified Divine Sleep Yoga Nidra Teacher, trained with Jennifer Reis at Kripalu School of Yoga and Integrative Yoga Therapy.
Divine Sleep Yoga Nidra, "yogic sleep" or "dynamic sleep" refers to awakening in every level of being through a specific guided meditation practice that can be done either lying down or sitting up. This practice has been used successfully to help insomnia, stress, anxiety, depression, high blood pressure, heart disease, chronic pain, and many other conditions.
I believe in teaching from the heart and responding to each student as an individual. Through in-depth planning, careful sequencing, and the incorporation of props and modifications, I would like to make yoga a safe and rewarding experience for everyone.
